Christ Walking on Water - Broken Stained Glass (Lady Chapel)We have received some wonderful news - English Heritage has offered us a grant towards our restoration work !

The offer is in two parts; a grant of £22,000.00 ( Project valued at £29,405.00) towards the necessary investigative work during 2008 and an 'in principle offer' of £102,000.00 (Project valued at £136,785.00) towards the Restoration work itself.

All Saints' Parochial Church Council have met and accepted the proposal, and our Architect, Mr. Philip Orchard, has prepared the necessary paperwork for our application to the Diocesan Chancellor to apply for a Faculty in order to begin the process of 'opening the roofs' and all the detailed investigatory work to determine the exact extent of the restoration work which must be undertaken.

Obviously, even as things stand at the moment, there is a shortfall, but we have already begun our campaign of applying for other grants and setting out a whole list of fundraising events during the next twelve months.
